Did you miss the webinar on September 24, 2022, or attended and want a replay?
Here you go!
Those who attended learned about:
- Signs and symptoms of blood sugar imbalance.
- Lifestyle “medicine” tips, tricks, and hacks to optimize your energy.
- Nutrients that help balance your blood sugar.
- Top plant-based foods and herbs, to beat fatigue and restore energy.
- How to prepare simple, energizing plant-based food with a demo by Chef Karen Osborne! Recipes included.
Highlights and Hacks:
- The top nutrients that support balancing your blood sugar and sustainable energy and focus are:
- Vitamin D3 – Vitamin D is very important for proper blood sugar control. The ideal range for vitamin D is 75 to 100.
- Chromium improves carbohydrate cravings and your ability to space meals more favorably.
- Omega 3 Fatty Acids play an important role in improving insulin resistance and protecting your brain.
- Magnesium is important for the transport of insulin into cell membranes.
Plant Based Food Sources: Vitamin D may require supplementation. Chia seeds contain a high amount of chromium, omega fatty acids, and magnesium. Leafy greens are loaded with magnesium.
- Stress is a major cause of insulin resistance. When you are stressed, you release a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol causes your blood sugar to go up, because it’s preparing you to fight or flee. Your blood sugar levels go up even though you didn’t eat anything. Insulin is required to bring the levels back down. If you are getting stressed all the time, you are going to create insulin resistance and decreased energy.
Everyone who registered for the webinar was eligible to participate in a raffle drawing to win A Healthy Vegetarian Recipe Starter Guide with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and juice recipes.
