FOOD AS MEDICINE: The Top Three Health Hacks for Vegans, Vegetarians, and Wanabes

“The beauty of Food As Medicine is that the choice to heal and promote health can begin as soon as the next meal.”

Did you miss the webinar on March 19, 2022, or attended and want a replay?

Here you go!

Those who attended learned how to:

  1. Personalize their food plan
  2. Improve digestive health
  3. Balance pH with a plant based good plan

Highlights and Hacks:

  • Personalizing your food plan starts with assessing your nutrient status (self or lab testing).
  • Chewing your food (ideally 32 chews) or until it turns to pulp can eliminate digestive issues like bloating.
  • You don’t have to strictly consume an alkaline diet.  Rule of thumb:  60% to 80% of the foods you eat should be alkaline.  This can be accomplished through eating a variety of fresh, whole, organic plant-based foods.
  • In conjunction with the webinar, BVS sponsored a FREE virtual food preparation workshop presented by Dr. Ruby Lathon, on March 24, 2024.

Everyone who registered for the webinar was eligible to participate in a raffle drawing to win A Healthy Vegetarian Recipe Starter Guide with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and juice recipes.

Congratulations to our raffle winner:  Brigette Dickerson!
